MOISHE'S SIP
Brilliance by Herzog
Radiant. Brightn. Dazzling. A few of the words that come to mind when sipping this Napa Valley red blend.
The nose is intense with aromas of plum, cherry, tobacco, oak and vanilla. Full-bodied in the mouth, loaded with blackberry jam flavors and oak. The kind of wine that’s good now and will be good for the next few years, but because of a medium acidity, we don’t recommend cellaring. Remember, more than 85% of wine is meant to be drunk now! ENJOY IT! Because this is a wine to REALLY enjoy.
Rich wine pairs best with rich, flavorful food. So don’t hold back with this one. L’chaim!
Château de Marmorières La Clape
From southern France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region, specifically the La Clape Cru, this beautiful red is a blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah.
Expect earthy aromas and flavors with black fruits, spices, and a hint of black olive. The mouth has both medium acidity and body with enough concentration to make a pastrami sandwich your dream come true.
Solar de Boucas Pet Nat
We’re seeing more and more Pet Nats on the shelf and not mad about it! They’re crisp, fun and can elevate any old moment.
This ancestral-method sparkling comes from Portugal’s Vinho Verde region, which is quite famous for their still salty Alvarinho (Albariño) wines. Another grape commonly used in the area, such as in this case, is Loureiro, meaning “laurel,” a characteristic aroma of the variety.
Expect intense tropical fruit aromas, such as pineapple and even a hint of mango. Look for the region’s salty signature in the mouth with super fresh acidity and a pleasant finish. A perfect pairing for fried foods and snacks!
COPPERS SEA RYE OLOROSO SHERRY CASK SAMPLE
So rare, the producer doesn’t even list it on their website. An exclusive sip that we cannot get enough of!
THE FAVORITES
Dalton El Kosh Single Vineyard
To your left is a photo of the actual ammonite fossil found in Dalton’s Elkosh vineyard, the inspiration for this premium sip from Galilee.
The wine is deep in color and concentration. Expect earthy aromas with black cherries and violets sprinkled in black pepper. It’s a full-bodied wine with a solid structure, the acid, alcohol and tannins all in sync to create a lengthy, pleasant finish.
A perfect pairing for hearty winter stews, or simply a beautiful piece of beef. The wine can hold for several more years, but is shining in our glasses now, so don’t be shy and enjoy!
